Rudy Project is proud to announce a new partnership with the Italian Cycling Federation (FCI), ensuring that Italy’s top cyclists will be equipped with cutting-edge helmets and eyewear until the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games.
As one of the most dominant national cycling teams in history, the Italian Cycling Federation has earned an astonishing 1,200 medals over the past two decades, including 458 golds—200 of which came from track cycling alone. With this new collaboration, Rudy Project will support Italy’s elite riders across all cycling disciplines, with a particular emphasis on track racing, where aerodynamics and precision make the difference between victory and second place.
At the heart of this partnership is the Rudy Project Wingdream, a state-of-the-art aero time trial helmet developed in collaboration with UCI WorldTour Team Bahrain Victorious and rigorously tested by Swiss Side’s aerodynamic specialists. Designed to push the boundaries of speed, aerodynamics, and safety, the Wingdream is set to become a key piece of gear for Italian athletes as they chase podium finishes on the world stage.
In addition to the Wingdream, riders will also have access to The Wing and Nytron Pro, two of Rudy Project’s most advanced helmets designed to optimize aerodynamic efficiency and protection across various disciplines and weather conditions.
The Italian Cycling Federation sees this partnership as a vital step in ensuring maximum safety and performance for its athletes.
Cordiano Dagnoni, President of the Italian Cycling Federation, emphasized the importance of helmet technology, stating:
"A helmet is the only technical component that significantly enhances a cyclist’s safety, especially on the road. We needed a partner that excels in impact absorption, ventilation, and aerodynamics—and we’re proud to have found one in Rudy Project. The fact that it is an Italian company makes us even more proud."
Marco Villa, National Track Team Manager, highlighted the role of top-tier gear in elite competition:
"In track cycling, races are often won by mere hundredths of a second. A marginal performance improvement of even 0.5% can be the difference between first and second place. Having a partner like Rudy Project—offering the best in aerodynamics, a wide range of helmet models, first-class assistance, and continuous research for performance enhancements—is essential to our success."
With this partnership, Rudy Project and the Italian Cycling Federation are set to continue a legacy of cycling excellence, providing the national team with the most advanced helmet and eyewear technology available.
As the countdown to Los Angeles 2028 begins, Rudy Project remains dedicated to pushing the limits of innovation, aerodynamics, and safety, ensuring that Italian cyclists have the best possible equipment to dominate on the track and the road.
